Abstract
Indirect hemagglutination reaction can be applied for the demonstration of antigens and antibodies of candida species with highly sensitive result than the conventional agglutination and slide agglutination techniques.
Variously extracted antigens can be used for the sensitzatiion of red blood cells Antigens extracted by heating bacterial suspensions for 2 hours at 100¡ÆC, or extracted by trichloroacetic acid treatment are sensitive than antigens obtained by other methods.
Red blood cells of human O type are more sensitive than those of goat. Trypsinized human red cells or tanned goat red cells are slightly less sensitive for the hemagglutination than non-treated red blood cells.
